I’m Zainab — and I’m so glad you’re here.

I’m a Muslimah, revert of 14 years, mother of three little ones (a daughter and two sons), homeschooler, writer, creative, and the heart behind Her Purposeful Soul and The Deen Diaries — two projects born from a decade of searching for meaning, healing, structure, and connection.

My journey hasn’t been perfect or linear.
It’s been full of growth spurts, setbacks, clarity, exhaustion, grace, and rediscovery — but every chapter has brought me closer to Allah, closer to myself, and closer to the woman I am becoming.

My Story

I reverted to Islam at 19 years old with a heart full of hope, a mind full of questions, and a soul craving truth.
Over the years, I’ve navigated motherhood, marriage, business, identity, healing, and faith — all while learning what it truly means to live with purpose, not the pressure of the outside world and other peoples highlight reels.

Through this journey I came to learn about undiagnosed ADHD, I juggle multiple roles, and I’m no stranger to overwhelm — but I believe deeply in barakah, intentionality, and creating systems that support the soul rather than suffocate it.

I am passionate about:

  • faith
  • mindset
  • a mother’s emotional world
  • creating grounding routines
  • homeschooling
  • journaling and goal setting
  • inner work
  • faith-centered growth
  • building a life that feels aligned with Allah

Everything I share stems from lived experience and sincere desire:
to help women who wants to grow without sacrificing her peace.

🌙 Motherhood & Homeschooling

I’m a homeschooling mother of three — energetic, brilliant, curious little hearts who teach me more about patience, presence, and self-regulation than any resource ever could. I remember feeling that spark to homeschool, when my daughter was 2 years old, I had set out a simple activity to help her learn the letters of her name - the rest was history after this, living spaces became homeschool play rooms in every house we made a home.

Our homeschool is faith-filled.
No Pinterest perfection.
No pressure to perform.
Just real life and chaos and mess, real learning and adjusting, and real barakah (blessing) and trust in God.

I share:

  • routines and scheduling ideas
  • what actually works (and what doesn’t)
  • low-stress systems
  • quiet-time activities
  • faith-centred learning
  • mindset support for mothers

Because mothers deserve support — not comparison, there's enough of that in the world.
And as a Muslim homeschooler, I strive to share guidance that feels realistic, not overwhelming or picture perfect.

The Deen Diaries

Alongside my blog, I passionetly grow and run The Deen Diaries — a faith-centred journaling and mindset brand for Muslimahs seeking reflection, clarity, and deeper connection with Allah.

We create:

  • faith focus journals
  • Islamic vision boards
  • Islamic affirmation and introspection cards
  • themed journal inserts and monthly boxes
  • mindset resources
  • a community space for women

My love for journaling and the creation of the Deen Diaries comes from my own personal healing and growth — writing helped me reconnect to Allah, understand myself and my slip-ups, and find discipline in prayer.

Her Purposeful Soul — Why I Created This Space

I started this blog because I didn’t want to be “another influencer mum” posting 24/7.

I wanted:

  • depth
  • intention
  • slowness
  • a place to write
  • a place to serve
  • a place to guide
  • a place where mothers could breathe

This blog is my home online — the one place not ruled by algorithms, trends, or pressure.

It is a sanctuary for:
✨ Muslimahs seeking growth
✨ mothers who want presence
✨ women who want to reconnect with their souls
✨ those who value faith over noise
✨ those who prefer depth in understanding over hustle through the ever-changing instagram reels

If you’re reading this, I already know your heart is a home for meaning — and I pray this space nurtures it.

My Work, My Voice, My Purpose

You’ll find me writing about:

  • faith & soul work
  • mindset & emotional intelligence
  • motherhood & homeschooling
  • planning & barakah-centred routines
  • journaling, art & creativity
  • intentional living
  • feminine spiritual growth

My intention is simple:

To help women sLow down, reconnect, and live with puRpose — not perfection.

I believe in small changes, soft discipline, and growth rooted in Allah.

💛 A Final Note

Wherever you are in your journey — overwhelmed, hopeful, tired, inspired, figuring it out, rebuilding, or rising — know that God sees you.

And I’m honoured you’re here.

This space is yours as much as it is mine.
Welcome to the journey, beautiful soul.
May it be filled with barakah (blessing), clarity, gentleness, and tawfiq (success).

With love and du'as,
Zainab
